SELBY ARTS FESTIVAL IS A NEW FESTIVAL BRINGING THE BEST AND MOST EXCITING MUSIC, COMEDY, THEATRE AND FAMILY EVENTS TO SELBY, NORTH YORKSHIRE.
A nine day explosion of creativity and culture, it is about transforming spaces, animating places and celebrating everything that is great about the town & the district.
The inaugural Selby Arts Festival will run from Saturday 22 to Sunday 30 July 2017 and roughly around the same time every year thereafter.
There will be lots of opportunities to get involved and help us make this a truly brilliant festival and we’d love to know what you’d like to see from an arts festival for selby for this and future years.
Selby Arts Festival will make the town a more fun, creative, playful and exciting place to live, work and visit for the nine days of the festival
This is a Festival for everyone; it will engage people from the Town and the wider Selby District, as well as attracting visitors from across Yorkshire and the North of England supporting the local economy and tourism infrastructure.
Over the nine days we will animate and transform a range of spaces including the world-famous Selby Abbey, The Town Hall Theatre, Summit Indoor Adventure, Selby Rugby Club and numerous outdoor spaces across the town.
We’re also over the moon that Matthew Warchus, Artistic Director of The Old Vic London is the first official Patron of Selby Arts Festival.
