“A brilliant level of creativity sitting at the heart of Yorkshire’s cultural boom” Yorkshire Post

154 Collective are a group of musicians, artists, painters, writers and sculptors, they use a range of art-forms to tell interesting stories in new and creative ways – they make plays, books, exhibitions, music albums and large-scale outdoor artworks.

During the Festival we’re giving them the keys to an empty shop in the town so that they can fill in with a whole host of exciting, fantastic and fun artworks that celebrate Selby its places and its people.

But they can’t do it without you!

The door will be open everyday and they want you to come in and tell them all about what a great place this is. Whether you’ve got 5 minutes, or a few hours, pop in and see the friendly team; have a chat, see what they’ve been up to and maybe even have a go at something creative yourself.

Saturday 29th will be the last day of the Shop Takeover – so we’d love you to join us anytime that day to look at what they’ve created; there’s bound to be someone or somewhere you know with a unique 154 Collective twist.

Our huge thanks to Wetherells Department Store Selby and Yorkshire Lets for their support with the shop premises.
