Westcountry folk singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Seth Lakeman’s eighth studio album ‘Ballads of The Broken Few’ was released in September 2016 with the single ‘Meet Me in the Twilight’ playlisted soon after at BBC Radio 2. The album, which was produced by Ethan Johns, is a stunning combination of his dynamic song-writing and playing and the sublime harmony vocals of emerging young female trio Wildwood Kin. Seth’s soaring vocals are perfectly complimented by the seamless harmonies of Wildwood Kin who also from Devon.

The BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners previous albums include Mercury Prize nominated ‘Kitty Jay’ (2005), the gold-selling ‘Freedom Fields’ (2006) which featured the hit singles Lady of the Sea and The White Hare, ‘Poor Man’s Heaven (2009), ‘Hearts & Minds’ (2010), ‘Tales from the Barrel House (2011) and ‘Word of Mouth (2014). With “Ballads of the Broken Few” Seth demonstrates yet again that, far from being complacent, he is constantly exploring new and bold musical paths.

He will be playing a number of dates with his band in 2017 playing tracks from the new album and live favourites from his back catalogue.

“I’m really looking forward to playing the first ever Selby Arts Festival at Selby Abbey. Hope to see you there!”
